Last weekend, a historic event lit up Addis Ababa, marking a new chapter in the Ethiopian real estate sector at the iconic Adwa Victory Memorial.

Temer Properties recently hosted the “Temer Gift Expo” under the guiding principle of “Two Doors, One Key.” The event was a grand success, turning two lucky clients into millionaires and solidifying the company’s reputation for reliability.

Big Wins and Big Dreams

Two lucky winners were awarded brand-new BYD e-2 electric vehicles, four individuals received home finishing packages, each valued at 1 million Birr.

The “Two Doors, One Key” initiative represents Temer Properties’ commitment to delivering both a home and a car key to its clients simultaneously a move that has fostered deep trust between the developer and its customers.

The three-day expo kicked off with a vibrant performance by a marching band. The opening ceremony was attended by high-ranking officials, including Ato Jafar Mohammed, CEO of Temer Properties, higher officials from Ethiopian Real Estate Association, Representatives from the Ethiopian Construction Authority, Various celebrities and invited guests.

In his opening keynote, CEO Ato Jafar Mohammed described the day as “historic.”

“Today’s expo and lottery draw is not just a simple award program,” he stated. “Rather, it is a practical demonstration of the strong trust that should exist between a developer and a client in Ethiopia’s real estate sector. It is a testament to us keeping our promises and a sign of our journey to create a real difference.”

Vision Beyond Construction

The CEO emphasized that Temer Properties was founded with a purpose beyond just building houses. The company aims to advance the real estate sector through better construction quality, marketing management, customer service, and technology.

“To remain the primary choice for clients and home-builders, and to deliver quality homes in the desired locations and timeframes, we are moving forward with a massive roadmap titled ‘Where shall we build for you next?’ which centers on customer preference,” he added.

Addressing the future of the industry, he noted:

“Moving forward, we aim to solve the issues of mistrust, delivery delays, and price hikes. We want to establish a system where a home is not a ‘luxury’ but a ‘necessity’ (like bread) accessible to all. Temer is not just a developer; it aims to be a center of excellence where top Ethiopian engineers are nurtured and quality standards are set.”

A Birthday to Remember

The lottery draws for the BYD e-2 vehicles brought an emotional moment when the first winner realized the win coincided with his birthday, making it an unforgettable milestone.

The winner, Ato Tenaw Bawek, expressed his joy and recalled how he used his hard-earned foreign currency savings from working abroad to purchase his home from Temer.

He admitted that while the general mistrust in the local real estate market had initially caused him some concern, Temer’s rapid construction progress and the added car prize have fully earned his gratitude.

A Grand Finale

The expo, which added color to the Adwa Victory Memorial for three days, drew large crowds of Addis Ababa residents and members of the Ethiopian diaspora.

The event concluded last Monday with an awards ceremony. Sales teams and staff members who demonstrated exceptional performance during the expo were honored with certificates and trophies.
